  1. Ruffin is the dance-floor priest on “Let Your Love Rain Down on Me,” “Sexy Dancer,” and “Chain on the Brain,” while “Break My Heart” shows he’s still a balladeer worthy his '60s Temptations sides. On “Morning Sun Looks Blue” and the Davis-penned “Let’s Stay Together,” you can actually hear Ruffin on his best behavior.
  2. my favorite tracks (i like the whole cd) are "let your love rain down on me", "break my heart"(david gave it his all on this song. i love how he hits that high note. he reminds me of a bird taking flight. he soars on this one), and "morning sun looks blue". david was extremely talented and no one, i mean no one could match his grit and intensity/5(15).

  7. So Soon We Change consists of one of Ruffin's most compelling vocals and seven stiffs. The ace is "Break My Heart," written by David Garner ; this is Ruffin at his best, a sensitive plea for his woman to do him wrong, to hurt him deeply, making it easier for him to leave since he doesn't love her anymore -- a little reverse psychology.
